Become a 36er! Join the Library expedition! 

Start today by visiting us to get a map. The expedition competition will run until November 30th.  Can you reach all 36 libraries by then?

 

EVENTS:

Computer Help-  Tuesdays from 1-3 PM  Thursday evenings, 5:30-7 PM. Drop in to have help with your computer, tablet or smart phone, or learn on our lap-top computer.

Pre-K Story Time: Tuesdays at 11 AM. Ages 2-5, no sign-up needed.

Anime Club: Thursdays 5-7 PM. Love anime, manga and pop culture? Join our club! Ages 13+

Plastic Lace Craft- Tuesday September 18 at 3 PM. Learn how to make a staircase stitch or box stitch to make a key-ring! Ages 5-17.

 

 

Great American Read Book Talk- Wednesday September 26th at 6 PM. Check out the list of 100 books that PBS compiled- what do you think should be in the top 5? What’s not there that you think should be? We’ll have a lively discussion over refreshments.

Harry Potter Day- Saturday September 29, 12-3 PM. Watch a Harry Potter movie (participant’s choice) and have themed snacks and activities. Costumes encouraged. Ages 8 and up.

(We’re making a Harry Potter display in our cabinet. If you have something you want to show off, let us know!)

 

The September Library Board meeting has been rescheduled to September 10th.

 

Congratulations to all our summer readers! They read over 54,600 minutes this summer.  Big thanks to Stewart’s Shoppes, the Friends of the Rensselaer Library, 16Handles, Funplex and our volunteers for their support of our reading program!
